Add to bars Morning Deluxe

Imagine waking to the smell of fresh brewed coffee, just feet from your bed, or grabbing an iced drink and a late night snack without ever leaving the comfort of your room.

Forget the walk-in closet and master bathroom, the bar in the morning is one of the amenities new home. The typical morning bar includes a sink and faucet, small refrigerator, drawer dishwasher and small counter to hold appliances like coffee makers, espresso machine or even a microwave oven.

“Enriching the master bedroom with a morning bar reinforces the idea of a sumptuous retreat, rather than just a place to sleep and relax,” said Margie Rowe, principal target market for ShowHouse by Moen.

The bar in the morning is part of a growing trend of consumers called “negotiation”, which indicates that people are willing to pay more for luxury items.

Last year, U.S. consumers spent $ 400 billion worth of luxury items that included everything from luxury cars to lavish home accessories, according to the book “Trading Up: The New American Luxury” by Boston Consulting Group Senior Vice President Michael Silverstein and Bath & Body Works CEO Neil Fiske.

The challenge for designers is tastefully blend the mini-bar in a room without calling too much attention to the fact that it is actually a “mini-kitchen.” Some of their strategies:

* Kitchen cabinets: wood with dark recessed or raised arch accents create a feeling of warmth and security, while wood cabinets a light color can brighten and energize the space.

* Faucet and sink: “The most popular models for morning bars are those tap with elegant traditional feel that enhance a refined decorating style, such as ShowHouse by Moen Waterhill Collection,” said Rowe. “The great arc, single-handle faucet in oil rubbed bronze finish has a warm atmosphere that complements and blends into the color schemes of several master suites on the trend.”

* Appliances: appliances suitable size for the space are essential to maximize the benefits of bar morning. Gourmet espresso coffee press, citrus press or the right button to make a morning of luxury. A tray of wine cold will ensure that the bottles are always ready to drink at the perfect temperature. And a small refrigerator will keep fruits, fruit juices and cream handy. Wood panels ensure that the dishwasher drawer companies and mini-refrigerators blend into existing cabinets.

* Lighting: In many cases, track lighting typically found in the kitchen is strategically placed in the bar in the morning, with skylights that open and add height to the space.
